An insight into some of the financial details of La Liga giants Barcelona’s transfer deal for Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has been provided.

And the news will no doubt come as a welcome surprise to those of a Blaugrana persuasion.

The name of frontman Rashford has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the Englishman is all set to link up with Hansi Flick’s squad for next season.

After coming up short in their pursuit of Nico Williams, and with Liverpool refusing to budge in their financial demands for Luis Díaz, Deco and co. recently shifted full focus towards a deal for Rashford.

Long deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, an agreement between the parties was therefore not long in being found.

And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, Barcelona appear to have secured for themselves a potential bargain…

As per a report from transfer insider Florian Plettenberg of Sky:

‘Full agreement with Manchester United has been reached. Understand it’s almost a free loan, and Rashford is taking a significant salary cut to make the loan move happen.’
