Barcelona’s ‘9 of the future’ agrees to new contract | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have secured a contract renewal agreement with one of the club’s most highly-regarded young talents.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Òscar Gistau as the player in question.

Gistau, for his part, is a 16-year-old centre-forward, who has long been turning heads at youth level.

Despite his tender years, the frontman spent this past season lining out between Barca’s Juvenil B and Juvenil A sides.

And, across 35 such appearances, Gistau racked up a head-turning 15 goals.

An explosive performer boasting technical and physical qualities in equal measure, the Spaniard is labelled by Sport as the Blaugrana’s ‘9 of the future’.

All associated with the Catalan giants, as a result, will no doubt be delighted to hear that Gistau’s future has been locked up.

On the same day that Barcelona were forced to face up to the imminent departure of Marc Guiu, another of the club’s standout attacking talents has agreed to stay put.

As per Sport:

‘Òscar Gistau will sign his first professional contract with the Blaugrana club until 2027.’
