Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is giving serious consideration to drafting another member of the club’s academy setup into his squad for next season.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Dani Rodríguez as the player in question.
Rodríguez, for those not familiar with his name, is a 19-year-old attacker, who generally operates on the wing.
The Spaniard has long been hailed for his technical qualities, as well as his eye for goal and occasional penchant for the spectacular.
Rodríguez was back on target this past weekend, as Barca Atlètic secured a crucial victory over Sestao.
As much took his tally for an injury-plagued campaign to date to an impressive six direct goal contributions in just eight league appearances.
And such exploits, as alluded to above, have evidently not gone unnoticed amongst those in the first-team setup in Catalunya’s capital.
As per a report from MD:
‘Dani Rodríguez is highly likely to be promoted to Hansi Flick ‘s first-team next season. The German coach is drawn to the youth player’s skill and speed, having already called him up for several training sessions and seen him in some Group 1 matches of the Primera RFEF.’
