Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick afforded a place in his latest training session to a highly-regarded member of the club’s youth ranks.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Xavi Espart as the player in question.
Espart, for his part, is a 17-year-old midfielder, who generally operates in a defensive-minded role.
The Spaniard has long been considered a potential star in the making behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital, hailed for his abilities on and off the ball alike.
And word of such talents, evidently, has made its way to the very top of the line at Barcelona.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of Sport that Espart, labelled ‘the new Eusebio’, trained alongside the Blaugrana’s star-studded senior squad on Tuesday.
Also playing their part in the session were fellow youngsters Sergi Domínguez and Álvaro Cortés, both of whom are currently plying their trade with Barca Atlètic.
