Pau Prim is one of the top talents in the Barcelona youth system, which has already produced a host of talents in recent years.
A defensive midfielder by trade, Prim is a regular for Barça Atletic. Under the leadership of Albert Sanchez, the youngster has established himself as one of the star talents of the team.
However, despite his prominence at the youth level, Prim has had limited success in the Barcelona first-team.
Despite being regarded highly for his talents, the midfielder is yet to even make a senior debut for the Blaugrana.
With his contract expiring at the end of the season, Prim, in fact, is facing an uncertain future at Barcelona, reports Mundo Deportivo.
There have been positive negotiations but without any final outcome, thus leading to conflicting reports regarding his future.
One faction suggests Prim has already agreed a renewal with Barcelona, but the club are waiting for the right moment to announce the deal.

It must be noted that Barça are going through a tough time right now, with Dani Olmo and Pau Victor’s registrations being rescinded. The club are working on their re-registration and are confident of reaching a positive outcome tomorrow.
It would, therefore, make sense if Pau Prim’s contract talks take a backseat for the moment.
The other faction, though, suggests Prim is yet to agree any renewal deal with Barcelona. In fact, he could be considering an exit from Barcelona, seeing that his road to first-team is effectively blocked.
That is because the youngster has been beaten to the chase by fellow La Masia midfielder Marc Casado, who has been one of the rising stars in La Liga this season.
Marc Bernal, too, is regarded highly by Hansi Flick and is likely to be back in Barcelona’s fold once he returns to full fitness.
Pau Prim’s prospects at Barça, therefore, are limited, to say the least. And keeping that in mind, it would be interesting to see what will be in store for the youngster next summer.
