Pablo Torre was one of many Barcelona players who left the club last summer in favour of a loan move elsewhere. The youngster joined Girona on a season-long loan deal, in an attempt to kickstart his professional career.
However, after a muted start to the season, where Torre struggled to earn regular game-time, it was reported that Barcelona might recall him ahead of the January transfer window.
Subsequently, Torre has also become a subject of interest for various second-tier Spanish sides, including Racing, Real Valladolid, and Real Zaragoza.
Girona have been arguably the biggest surprise package in Europe’s top five leagues this season. But Pablo Torre has played a very small role in the team’s ascension.
As we approach the halfway point of the season, Torre has featured in a little over 200 minutes of league action. The youngster, in fact, is yet to even start a single game in La Liga this season.
This is a key reason why Barcelona want to recall the young midfielder, and perhaps send him out on loan somewhere else.
As mentioned earlier, Torre has no shortage of suitors and could easily find regular game time in the second division.

However, according to a recent report relayed by SPORT, Pablo Torre has no desire to return to Barcelona early and cut short his loan spell at Girona.
The young midfielder wants to complete his loan at Girona and is currently happy in Catalonia, despite his lack of game time.
Torre believes coach Michel will start counting on him sooner rather than later and he would receive regular game-time at Girona, and has even held talks with the manager regarding the same.
The recent injury of Yangel Herrera, in particular, could potentially pave the way for the Barcelona loanee to enjoy more prominence in the first team.
It remains to be seen if things take a turn for the better for the former Racing Santander starlet at Girona in the weeks to come.
