Barcelona youngster wanted by Fenerbahce, Jose Mourinho is an admirer | OneFootball

Journalist Luis Miguelsanz has reported through SPORT that Fenerbahce, led by Jose Mourinho, has shown interest in Barcelona’s young forward, Ansu Fati.

The Turkish club has reportedly contacted both the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, and Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, to discuss his potential transfer and for the move to materialise, they are ready to cover Ansu’s wages in full if a deal is reached.

It is no secret that Ansu’s future with Barcelona is currently uncertain, and several clubs are eyeing a possible loan move for him. Fenerbahce are one of these clubs.

According to the outlet, Fenerbahce’s sporting director, Mario Branco, recently spoke with Mendes and Deco about bringing the player to the Turkish team on loan and this is because Mourinho believes the forward can become a key player in his new project at Fenerbahce.

Ansu Fati is Fenerbahce’s priority

It has been suggested that Fenerbahce are actively pursuing several high-profile players in this transfer window and securing Ansu is one of their top priorities, with Mourinho leveraging his good relationship with Jorge Mendes to try to convince the player to join.

Despite this interest, his future is still up in the air. For now, he will start \pre-season with Barcelona, where coach Hansi Flick will evaluate his physical condition before making any decisions.
