A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona will play no part in the club’s upcoming pre-season tour of Asia.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Dani Rodríguez as the player in question.
Wide-man Dani for his part took his place centre stage in things during the final weeks of Barcelona’s recently-completed campaign.
This came after the 19-year-old was drafted into the senior setup, before being afforded his first-team bow from the off in a la Liga meeting with Real Valladolid.
During the first-half, however, disaster struck.
Following a challenge in the hosts’ half at Zorrilla, Rodríguez was forced off, with what was later confirmed to be a shoulder dislocation.
The Spanish youth international, in turn, was forced under the knife to repair the problem.
And as alluded to above, as much looks set to prove enough to keep Rodríguez out of Barca’s upcoming pre-season trip to Asia.
Hansi Flick had planned to call the talented young winger, whom he holds in high regard, up for the tour.
As per Sport, however:
‘He will not be able to travel on the Asian Tour during the preseason with the rest of his teammates, as he is not yet recovered. Therefore Rodríguez will miss the matches against Vissel Kobe, FC Seoul and Daegu FC.’
