That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Manu Vila as the player in question.
Vila, for his part, is an 18-year-old attacking midfielder who, until very recently, was considered a potential future star in the making in Catalunya’s capital.
The Spaniard captained Barcelona’s U19s during the 2023/24 campaign, earning a series of call-ups to first-team duty on the part of then-Blaugrana boss Xavi, too.
After falling out of favour on the back of a spell on the sidelines earlier this season, however, Vila recently made the call to seek out senior football elsewhere.
And as much has since culminated in the midfielder’s permanent exit from Catalunya being confirmed.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Manu Vila has signed for two seasons with Castellón and is now leaving Barca’s Under-19s.’
