Barcelona youngster reaches verbal agreement to move to Qatar | OneFootball

A member of the academy ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is all set to make the move to the Middle East.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Pau Prim as the player in question.

Prim, for those not familiar with his name, is an 18-year-old midfielder, who has long been considered one of the standout prospects on the books in Catalunya’s capital.

Despite his tender years, the starlet has been one of the first names on the team sheet of Albert Sánchez’s Barca Atlètic this season, for whom he has featured from the off in 15 league fixtures.

Prim is also a youth international with Spain, at U19 level.

In turn, it will no doubt mark a source of surprise for those of a Blaugrana persuasion to learn that the midfield starlet is all set for a move to Qatar.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:

‘Pau Prim, set to join Qatari side Al Sadd as verbal agreement has been reached. Barcelona’s 2006 born talent will leave the club with Qatar as next step.’
