Barcelona youngster looking for a loan away from Camp Nou | OneFootball

A recent report from Mundo Deportivo has offered an update on Barcelona’s team building ahead of the upcoming Joan Gamper trophy against Pumas.

While the focus will be on the players selected for the game, there are many who are unlikely to be included and are facing an uncertain future ahead of the new season.

Alex Collado is among the players unsure of their prospects in the coming weeks. The academy graduate is coming on the back of a loan spell at Granada at the backend of last season, but he has not been able to integrate himself into the first-team plans.

In many ways, Collado has become a victim of Barcelona’s sensational transfer window that saw the club bring in talents such as Raphinha, and Ousmane Dembele. There are speculations of Barça potentially making a move for Bernardo Silva as well.

As a result, Collado has found himself falling behind in the pecking order, with little to no prospect in the first team next season.

It has compelled the youngster to look for a move away elsewhere. According to the report, the playmaker wants to seal a loan move away from Camp Nou in order to further his development, especially after a somewhat promising loan at Granada.

Even in the Barcelona camp, Collado is rated highly and Xavi will be open to considering him as part of his plans, once the player manages to make a big breakthrough in La Liga or any of the top five leagues in Europe.

Collado should not find any difficulties attracting suitors either, as he has already shown tremendous potential and has what it takes to become an asset for any team in the Spanish top-flight.
