According to a recent report from SPORT, Barcelona forward Pau Victor is steadily making his mark at the club, earning a reputation as a reliable player who consistently delivers when given the opportunity.

In a recent match against Mallorca, the forward showed his potential with impressive touches, vision, and a constant threat in front of goal.

His performance was particularly important as Robert Lewandowski was resting, and manager Hansi Flick chose Ferran Torres to step in as the central forward.

Victor, however, did not let the opportunity slip by. He continued to show quiet efficiency, taking full advantage of the 17 minutes he was on the pitch. He played a direct role in the 5-1 victory, contributing to a goal and even scoring one himself to seal the win.

Making most of the chances

Victor’s arrival at Barcelona wasn’t accompanied by much fanfare. Instead, he earned his place through hard work and perseverance. After a successful loan spell at Barça Atletic, he earned the chance to stay at Barcelona.

Although his role was to be a backup, Victor embraced it, understanding that his task was to contribute whenever needed.

During pre-season, he stood out as one of the stars of the American tour, which helped him gain Hansi Flick’s trust and secure a spot in the first-team squad.

Victor understands his role

Competing for a starting spot against Lewandowski, one of the world’s best strikers, is undoubtedly difficult, but Victor’s commitment to his role is clear.

So far, he has played in 11 official matches for the first team in La Liga, and with his goal against Mallorca, he has scored twice in just 169 minutes of play.

In addition to his goal, Victor also provided an assist against Mallorca, helping Frenkie de Jong score. This adds to the assist he gave in the match against Villarreal.

In total, he has been directly involved in four goals this season. His average of contributing to a goal every 42 minutes shows just how effective he has been when called upon. With each passing game, he continues to prove that he is a player to watch at Barcelona.
