Alex Valle, the young FC Barcelona left-back currently on loan at Celtic, is making the most of his time in Scotland.

This past Sunday, the 20-year-old La Masia product helped his loan club secure the Scottish Cup trophy in a thrilling final against Rangers (3-3, 5-4 on penalties).

Valle played through extra time, and after winning his first professional title, the youngster spoke to Cadena SER (h/t Mundo Deportivo) to discuss his success and his adaptation to Celtic and his time away from Barcelona.

“Both I and the team are in very good form. I’m really happy, and I think the team is amazing. It’s a great reward to end the year,” said Valle, who has played 13 matches for Celtic and has provided four assists.

Valle is on loan at Celtic until the end of the season with the Scottish giants not having a purchase option.

There have been rumours suggesting a possible return to Barcelona in January, but the young left-back will remain in Scotland for the entire campaign.

When asked about his future return to his boyhood club, Valle expressed his openness to the idea of staying put in Catalonia next year.

“Barcelona has always been my home. This would be my eleventh season, so I have a special fondness for it. In the end, it’s the circumstances of football, and everyone does what they can,” he said.

“I’m very grateful for everything that’s happened and everything that’s happening in my life. I live in the present and enjoy it, and whatever happens next will be what is meant to happen,” Valle explained.

He also added, “I feel I’ve improved and will continue to improve in other areas” during his time in Scottish football.
