Fermin Lopez has been one of the brightest sparks for Barcelona over the last two seasons, and his future has now become a topic of interest.

According to SPORT, Barcelona have no intention of selling the midfielder this summer. However, if Fermin himself asks to leave, either for sporting ambition or a better financial offer, the club will not stand in his way.

There is strong interest in the 22-year-old. Clubs in Saudi Arabia and the Premier League have been watching him closely, although no official offers have been submitted yet.

Barcelona are aware that a major Premier League side has shown keen interest, as has a top Saudi club.

Despite this, the mood within the club is calm. Fermin has not shown any desire to leave, and those at Barcelona believe he is happy and committed to the project under Hansi Flick.

Valuable on and off the pitch

Fermin is a well-loved figure in the dressing room. He is respected by his teammates and enjoys the full confidence of the manager, Hansi Flick.

The young Spaniard has also become a symbol of what it means to wear the Barça shirt, playing with passion and pride.

While Barcelona’s midfield is crowded, especially with attacking options like Dani Olmo and Gavi, Fermin’s versatility has helped him stay relevant.

This season, Fermin has crossed 2,000 minutes on the pitch, featuring in 46 matches across all competitions.

He has scored eight goals and delivered ten assists. In terms of goal contributions, only Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo have done more.

Barcelona understand his rising stock, but unless he personally requests to move, Fermin Lopez is expected to stay at the club for the foreseeable future. His story at Camp Nou is still unfolding.
