An insight into the efforts of the powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona to raise funds for the summer ahead has this week been forthcoming online.
The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and points towards Deco and his team of directors seeking out avenues to move two players to Saudi Arabia.
The pair in question? Ansu Fati, and Clément Lenglet.
Both wide-man Ansu and defender Lenglet are of course currently in the midst of loan spells away from Barcelona.
The duo find themselves in the Premier League, with Brighton & Hove Albion and Aston Villa respectively.
With both set to return to base in Catalunya’s capital in the summer, and no room for either in Xavi’s squad, however, the Blaugrana are seeking out ways to cash in.
And with it viewed as unlikely that any club in Europe would be willing to cough up the kind of sum Barca are seeking for either Ansu or Lenglet, Deco and co. have in turn shifted their focus outside the continent.
As per the aforementioned Sport, ‘Barca are trying to open’ the path to the money-laden Saudi Pro League for their two on-loan stars.
Interest in the latter is already public knowledge, with Al-Nassr having pushed hard to bring the stopper in last year.
Any such move for Ansu, still just 21 years of age, though, would come as a major surprise.
