Barcelona are the new UEFA Youth League champions after defeating Trabzonspor 4-1 at the Centre Sportif de Colovray in Nyon.
The game was completely dominated by the Catalans, who took the lead just 11 minutes in, after Ibrahim Diarra's low shot. Barças kept their foot on the gas and just seven minutes later defender Andrés Cuenca extended the lead following a set piece.
Juan Hernández thought he scored the third before halftime with a superb curling effort following a short corner but the young winger's spectacular goal was disallowed for an offside position at the start of the play.
The second half continued as the first with captain Hugo Alba scoring with a powerful strike in the 56th minute. Just over ten minutes later Diarra wrapped up the win with his second of the game to make it 4-0.
The Turkish team did manage to pull one back late on through Bican Tibukoglu although it was far too late for any thought of a comeback.
That win means that Barcelona have now won three UEFA Youth Leagues, surpassing Chelsea who have won two.
