Barcelona watching Granada goalkeeper Luis Maximiano

Barcelona are watching Granada goalkeeper Luis Maximiano.

With Neto sure to depart as his contract runs down and Inaki Pena also weighing up his options, Mundo Deportivo says Barca are seeking to buy from outside as cover for No1 Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Maximiano is being watched at Granada, having been on the radar at Barca for several years. He has managed five appearances this season.

The Catalans watched Maximiano when he was with Sporting CP, who only sold him to Granada last summer. Barca will keep tabs on the keeper this season with the aim to move for him next summer. Finding a new keeper signing is becoming an acute problem for Barca given Neto's plans.

The 22 year-old Portuguese had been on the books at Sporting since 2012, having been snapped up from SC Braga's academy.

Maximiano has a deal with Granada to 2025 and is a former Portugal U21 international.
