Barcelona ‘watching’ Atlético Madrid star ahead of possible summer swoop | OneFootball

The transfer team at Barcelona are keeping a close eye on the situation of a member of the defensive ranks at La Liga rivals Atlético Madrid.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who highlight Reinildo Mandava as the player in question.

Stopper Reinildo, for his part, is due to see his contract terms with Atlético come to a close in the summer of 2025.

Having dropped down the pecking order in Spain’s capital this season owing to the re-emergence of Javi Galán, it is beginning to look increasingly likely that the Mozambique international will be on the move upon the term’s close.

And one club giving consideration to taking advantage of as much, as alluded to above, come in the form of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.

As per MD, amid their ongoing search for fresh blood at the back with a view to next season:

‘Mozambican left-back Reinildo Mandava (Atlético, 30 years old) is being watched. His contract is coming to an end and he can also play as a centre-back.’
