Reports have revealed that Barcelona are currently planning to sign additional signings to bolster the squad for next season with appropriate deals to support German coach Hansi Flick's plans. After signing Englishman Marcus Rashford, the Spanish club still has a few more signings to bolster the squad's needs, particularly in positions other than the attacking positions.

After the club successfully signed Marcus Rashford for the left wing position, the focus today shifts to strengthening the squad with further signings, depending on what's available in the current summer transfer window.

Barcelona enters the race to sign Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate

Press reports have revealed that Spanish club Barcelona is seriously considering signing French defender Konate, noting that the player has attracted significant interest from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and, more recently, German giants Bayern Munich.

Barcelona already have Ronald Araujo, Pau Coparci, Jules Kounde, Andreas Christensen and Inigo Martinez in this position, so this interest from Barcelona in playing may seem a bit strange.

However, the player has not yet signed a new contract with Liverpool, so all possibilities remain wide open, and he remains in the sights of all major clubs as well.

With only one year remaining on his current deal, Liverpool finds itself in a somewhat vulnerable position should serious interest emerge for the player. If his situation remains unresolved, Barcelona may see an opportunity to explore a potential move, capitalizing on the diminishing leverage the Reds hold in negotiations. The Catalan club could monitor developments closely, waiting for the right moment to make their approach as the contract deadline looms.

This scenario leaves Liverpool with limited room to maneuver, especially if the player himself becomes open to a new challenge. The coming months could prove pivotal, as both clubs weigh their options while the player’s future hangs in the balance.
