Barcelona have reportedly decided to assess the market in the coming weeks to see if any clubs would be interested in signing Ousmane Dembélé.

The France international only joined the Camp Nou club last summer, signing from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth €145m.

The 21-year-old was seen as the long-term successor to Neymar after the Brazilian made the sensational switch to Paris Saint-Germain during the same window.

But Dembélé’s time at the Blaugrana has been beset by injury issues and a loss in form.

The winger hasn’t enjoyed the full confidence of coach Ernesto Valverde, and now a pair of well-sourced stories have claimed that Barça are looking for buyers.

RAC1 and Mundo Deportivo write that the board at Camp Nou decided last Thursday that Dembélé’s time at the club was up, and that they would put the feelers out to test the waters.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with his services in the past, but Mundo believe that Barcelona are hoping PSG can be persuaded to take Dembélé in January.

That would then free up a space in Thomas Tuchel’s XI for Neymar to get his move back to the Catalan capital.

Although there’s no word on how much Barça want for the youngster, it’s rumoured that would be willing to listen to offers in the region of €100m.
