An important game arrives for FC Barcelona as the team returns to club action after the recent international break. For Hansi Flick’s side, however, there is no additional rest and they now get back to work. With the international players now back as well, Barcelona are ready to go.
However, the timing of this upcoming fixture against CA Osasuna is hardly ideal. Now slated to take place at an awkward moment for both Barça and their opponents, it could end up forcing both sides to make some rather uncomfortable decisions.
For Barcelona, the inconvenient timing of this match forces them to play out the game without some key players being available. As confirmed by Hansi Flick himself, some of the team’s most important players are now set to miss this game and alternative options will have to be relied upon.
Heading into this game, however, Barcelona does have their perfect form to give them motivation. So far in 2025, the Catalan giants remain undefeated despite already now nearing the end of March, and that has been a great reflection of just how impressive Flick’s team has been.
Across their last five games, Barcelona have managed to secure four wins and one draw across three different competitions. In La Liga, they have secured wins over Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid, and have also won both games against SL Benfica in the UEFA Champions League. Their only draw came against Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey.
As for their goals scored, La Blaugrana have found the back of the net 16 times. An impressive tally, it showcases the great offensive strength that the team has. On the other hand, they have conceded 7 goals across the same time period, highlighting a positive balance of goals.
CA Osasuna, on the other hand, are going through a rather rough patch. Over their last five games, they have suffered two losses and have drawn three games. It seems that the team is regularly finding draws this season, and it has led to a rather unstable league campaign so far in terms of points.
With only six goals scored and eight goals conceded in their last five games, Osasuna are in dire need of a good result. However, having already beat Barcelona this season before during the first-half of the campaign, the Catalan giants will undoubtedly be eager to get their revenge.
Moreover, with this game set to take place at the Montjuic Stadium after having been postponed previously, Barcelona will have their home supporters behind them as well. For Hansi Flick’s side, even with missing players, this is a match that they have to get three points in no matter what.
