Refereeing drama takes center-stage in the first 45
Refereeing drama took center-stage in the first half between Barcelona and Mallorca. Hansi Flick’s men went 2-0 to the good not long into the first half. The second goal was a controversial affair where there was some lack of clarity on whether or not the referee had blow the whistle with a Mallorca player on the floor holding his head.
Soon after, Morlanes, was given his second yellow for taking Lamine Yamal out. Muriqi was then sent-off for violent conduct after a reckless challenge on Joan Garcia, reducing Mallorca to 9 men
Minutes before half-time, Raphinha was given a yellow card for a reckless challenge on a Mallorca player. This one wasn’t upgraded to a red, though.
