Barcelona will be desperate to go into the market this summer to bring in players to reinforce the team so they can complete their squad rebuild after struggling for several years since Lionel Messi left the club.

However, they will need to sell players first, which is a task that has proven to be extremely tough for Barcelona.

While they certainly do have offers for several players, including the likes of Pedri, Gavi, Ronald Araujo, Lamine Yamal, and Pau Cubarsi, among others, Barça do not want to compromise on the quality of their squad and potentially offload important assets.

On the other hand, there are also players, like Jules Kounde, Andreas Christensen, and Frenkie de Jong, who do not want to leave the club this summer due to a number of reasons, including their salary.

Another player who is now facing a sticky situation at the heart of Catalonia is Robert Lewandowski.

Barcelona may abandon Lewa

Barcelona are currently hosting three strikers in their squad, one of whom is 35-year-old Robert Lewandowski. 19-year-old Vitor Roque and 18-year-old Marc Guiu complete the trident, which properly explains the problem, especially on the age front.

Therefore, a report from Alex Pintanel (h/t FCBWorld) says that should Barcelona pursue and sign a striker in the summer, they may abandon Lewa and possibly sell him with no dearth of offers.

Saudi Arabia teams have reportedly already sent in multi-million offers to Lewandowski, and there is also interest from the MLS.

Both of these options will see the Pole earn much more than he is right now, despite being the second-highest-paid player in the team behind Frenkie de Jong.

Lewandowski does not want to leave the club

Like many others in the team, Lewandowski is more than happy with his salary and his life at Barcelona, and is not considering an exit at this point.

He has reportedly already turned down an offer from Saudi Arabia that would have seen his salary increase three-fold. He wants to fulfill his contract at the club that runs until 2026.
