For the upcoming summer transfer window, FC Barcelona are looking to strengthen their forward line by bringing in a left winger and probably also a center-forward who can compete with and be the long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
In addition to these players, the Catalans will also be looking to bring in reinforcements for some other parts of the team, including the flanks. Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde are the clear starters in the fullback positions, but the Blaugranes want to bring in more depth for this key area of the team.
They have previously been linked with some interesting names, but according to Fichajes, Barcelona launched an offensive to bring in one of the best right-backs in the world, Trent Alexander Arnold, even though he seems to be set to join their arch-rivals in Spain, Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old Liverpool full-back will be out of contract at the end of this season, which makes him one of the most attractive targets in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Merseyside club has tried to renew his contract for some time, but these negotiations have not really progressed and an agreement remains elusive.
Meanwhile, his contractual situation also allows him to negotiate with any interested side, and he has been closely linked with the Merengues lately.
The report claims that the Blaugranes tried to convince the Englishman to play in their team, but Alexander-Arnold made it clear that his desire was to play for Real Madrid, thus dispelling any doubts about his future.
Losing out on the Englishman will not really be a blow for Barcelona, as they already have their flanks well covered, and would ideally want a young fullback who will agree to be a rotation piece with Jules Kounde being the fixed starter.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are looking for a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal, and Alexander-Arnold is one of the best possible options for them.
