A player heavily linked with a move to La Liga champions Barcelona this summer has seen his jersey number taken away by his current employers.

The player in question? Marcus Rashford.

Wide-man Rashford has of course been linked with a move to Barcelona for some time now.

After the Blaugrana took into consideration a January loan swoop for the 27-year-old, he has since returned to the radar of Deco and co. this summer.

Rashford is himself understood to be actively pushing for a Camp Nou switch, ready to do whatever it takes to link up with Hansi Flick’s squad.

And as alluded to above, late this week, the England international’s departure from Manchester United appears to have moved a step closer.

As revealed by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Rashford has been stripped of his iconic no.10 jersey at Old Trafford, replaced by new Red Devils signing Matheus Cunha.

It is also noted once more that the player continues to ‘dream’ of a move to Barcelona.
