Barcelona to meet Roma for Joan Gamper Trophy

Barcelona are set to meet Roma for the Joan Gamper Trophy this year.

Sport says Roma are set to be Barca's opponents.

Roma coach Jose Mourinho was a rival when he was at Real Madrid and Chelsea.

In fact he started his career as an assistant to Louis van Gaal at Barcelona and has been involved in various controversies with the Catalans since.

Mourinho will return to the stadium for the game which is set to take place on either the sixth or seventh of August. It's not official yet, but barring a surprise, that's what will happen.

It will also be a return for Carles Perez, who left Barcelona in 2020 having played 13 games for the first team.
