Barcelona are expressing an interest in the services of Atlético Madrid star Reinildo Mandava.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have named the Mozambican as one of a number of incoming free agents to have made their way onto the radar of the Camp Nou brass.
Mandava, for his part, has continued to play an important role in the backline of Atlético boss Diego Simeone over the early weeks of the new season.
All told, across the Rojiblancos’ 11 fixtures across all competitions, the 30-year-old has featured in every one, on seven occasions from the off.
And his form, it would appear, has long begun to pique the attentions of those in a position of power at La Liga rivals Barcelona.
So much so that Mandava has emerged as a potential target for the Blaugrana for the summer of 2025.
Amid their search for reinforcements at left-back, the Mozambique international, according to MD, ‘is an option for his quality and experience’.
Most intriguing of all when it comes to Mandava’s potential signing, though, is the fact that, as things stand, it would come free of cost.
