Barcelona have reportedly identified Monaco striker Wissam Ben Yedder as a potential replacement for Luis Suárez.

Suárez has been ruled out for at least three months after undergoing surgery on a persistent meniscus problem.

According to Foot Mercato, Barça believe Ben Yedder shares similar qualities to their injured frontman and have ‘intensified their scouting’ this month.

The LaLiga giants are also said to have had approaches for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Timo Werner and Lautaro Martínez rebuffed.

Monaco, however, are unwilling to lose their top scorer midway through the season and could even offer the 29-year-old improved terms.

Ben Yedder has scored 15 goals in 22 appearances this season.
