Barcelona target Nico Williams’ ‘3 summer options’ revealed | OneFootball

An insight into the decision awaiting in-demand Athletic Club star Nico Williams with a view to next season has on Friday been forthcoming.

As much, of course, comes amid widespread interest in the signature of the 22-year-old.

The name of wide-man Williams has positioned itself centre stage in the headlines across all of Spain for some time now.

This comes amid the widespread knowledge that the youngster, fresh off a stellar campaign at Euro 2024 with Spain, has been identified as a priority transfer target on the part of Barcelona.

The Blaugrana have been locked in negotiations with Williams and his entourage for several weeks now, with a view to activating the release clause in the player’s Athletic Club contract.

And yet, to date, Deco and co. have not received the definitive ‘yes’ which they so crave.

Whilst Barca are considered the favourites to ultimately land Williams, a whole host of other clubs from the continent have also made their interest clear, including several from the Premier League.

The explosive attacker has ruled out a move to England, however, leaving him with a trio of options to pursue.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Friday evening confirmed that:

‘The player is considering his situation with three possible scenarios: signing for Barça, signing for PSG, or continuing at Athletic.’

An announcement regarding as much is considered as ‘imminent’.
