It is no secret that FC Barcelona have not exactly been too involved in the summer transfer window so far. Unlike their rivals who continue to bolster their squads, La Blaugrana are simply out of the picture altogether for now. Still, that does not mean that Barcelona have been completely idle.

In terms of signings, the only major summer arrival so far has been Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia. Beyond that signing, no player has been acquired solely for the purpose of improving the overall strength of the first team specifically.

However, the signing of Swedish talent Roony Bardghji is definitely an interesting case. Despite not inherently being a first team signing, the club reportedly plans for him to alternate between Flick’s team and Barcelona Atletic depending on his progression.

Yet, so far in preseason training with the first team, he seems to be showing no signs of wanting to let this opportunity go to waste. In fact, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the 19-year-old winger has been impressing Hansi Flick and the coaching staff so far.

Reportedly, his work ethic and commitment are two standout qualities that have truly caught the eye of the coaching staff. Moreover, MD claims that he has already managed to pleasantly surprise Flick so far in the first week of Barcelona training.

His brother remains on the club’s radar as well

Now, his objective is to be on the plane with the first team members and others that will travel for the preseason tour in Asia. The signs so far have been positive, and Bardghji might just end up being a good addition to the Barcelona first team.

Interestingly, he might not be the only member of his family to be at Barcelona starting this season. Reportedly, the club is now also looking to sign his younger brother, Rayan Bardghji, and advancements are being made on that operation as well.
