Barcelona manager Xavi has a few problems heading into next week’s second leg at Old Trafford.

Manchester United came away from Camp Nou after a 2-2 draw tonight and Marcus Rashford said it felt like a loss.

After seeing Pedri get taken off injured in the first half, it has now been confirmed that he sustained a hamstring injury which makes him a major doubt for next Thursday’s meeting, as per BT Sport.

Xavi was without Sergio Busquets tonight and it remains to be seen if he will be available for next week’s game.

However, fellow midfield mainstay Gavi will miss the second leg play-off tie against United due to suspension after being booked tonight.

The 18-year-old was given a yellow card after a rash foul on Fred to prevent a counter attack.

It was Gavi’s third booking of the season in European competition and it looks like Xavi must find a way to form the right midfield without his preferred pair.

Let’s not pretend Xavi has a shortage of midfielders because he is coming to the wrong place for sympathy. Especially when United got a draw without Christian Eriksen, Marcel Sabitzer and Scott McTominay.
