Due to the restricted and limited financial resources that Barcelona has, transfers have proven to be complicated. Unlikely the summers in which the club could basically sign whoever they wanted, they have to be much more careful now. Still, it is quite possibly a blessing in disguise for Barcelona.

As a direct consequence of these restrictions, the Catalan giants are forced to rethink their transfer policy and sign more affordable players. Ideally, Barcelona now looks to capitalize on market opportunities rather than looking at the biggest possible names.

It is exactly that kind of focus and shift of policies that has allowed Barcelona to sign Joan Garcia this summer. By paying his €25 million release clause, the Catalan giants managed to secure the signing of one of Europe’s top goalkeepers last season.

Roony Bardghji seems like a bargain for Barcelona

However, the club is not planning to stop there when it comes to taking advantage of such market opportunities. Even their latest signing from FC Copenhagen, Roony Bardghji, could be considered a consequence of yet another market opportunity.

As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have ended up signing the player for a transfer fee that goes just above the €2 million mark. However, taking into account his estimated market transfer value, this is a bargain for the Catalan giants.

Paying well below his current market value

That is because, as per the valuation provided by Transfermarkt, Bardghji is valued at €7.5 million. Thus, the price that Barcelona are paying for him is three times lesser than his actual market value at the moment, which in turn further minimizes the risk of an already beneficial signing.

Beyond just the fact that the winger is still 19 years old, he is also someone who has been quite impressive over at FC Copenhagen. As such, Barcelona can remain assured that their latest investment is indeed a smart one.

Interestingly, Bardghji seems to have arrived at the club as part of a package deal. That is because his younger brother, Rayan Bardghji, has also reportedly joined the club and is expected to be a part of the Barcelona youth teams.
