Barcelona are still in the race to sign Raphinha from Leeds United, according to Gerard Romero.

As reported elsewhere, Chelsea reached an agreement with Leeds for the player on Tuesday but have yet to agree personal terms with the 25-year-old whose agent, Deco, was in Barcelona today for talks with the La Liga club.

Deco was seen leaving the club offices earlier on Wednesday as several clubs look to sign his client from Leeds.

Raphinha’s preferred option is a move to Camp Nou. Chelsea are ready to pay in the region of £60m including add-ons for the winger and it remains to be seen if Barça can beat the Premier League club to the Brazil international’s signature this summer.

Since joining Leeds from French club Rennes in 2020, Raphinha has been in excellent form, scoring 17 Premier League goals in 65 games.

His current deal at Elland Road expires in June 2024.
