Barcelona are very interested in signing Inter striker Lautaro Martínez.

That’s according to Spanish outlet AS, who report that Blaugrana scouts have already watched the 22-year-old on several occasions this season and could make a move for him next summer.

Barça reportedly see Martínez as a potential air to Luis Suárez and he certainly has a similar playing style to the Uruguayan.

Suárez is still under contract at Camp Nou until 2021 but the club are already putting plans in place to replace him.

AS claim the LaLiga champions are looking for a player between the ages of 20 and 26 whose career is in the ascendancy and therefore won’t command an overly extortionate transfer fee.

Martínez is not the only striker they are looking at but it seems he is their top target at the moment and they will continue to assess his performances for Inter and Argentina in the coming months.

‘El Toro’ moved to Inter from Racing Club in 2018 and has so far scored 15 goals in 47 appearances for the Serie A club.
