Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal sends public message to departing Xavi | OneFootball

Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal has on Friday taken to social media, to send a message of farewell to head coach Xavi.

As much, of course, comes after Xavi’s long-touted dismissal was this afternoon finally made official.

With a view to bringing in Hansi Flick as his replacement, Barcelona announced that this Sunday’s meeting with Sevilla will mark the former Blaugrana midfielder’s last on the touchline.

News of Xavi’s impending exit has since been met by a wave of messages of support for the tactician, on the part of fans, pundits, and the media alike.

And, as alluded to above, a short time ago, this list was added to by a headline member of Barcelona’s first-team squad.

Lamine Yamal has of course enjoyed an explosion onto the world stage this season, widely considered to be one of football’s most talented young stars.

As much only comes, though, after his manager had the bravery to introduce him at senior level, despite Lamine still being just 16 years of age.

In turn, the explosive winger this evening took to his official Instagram account, to unveil the following message of gratitude:

“Thank you for always trusting me. It has been a pleasure to learn and work with you, Mister. Forever a Culé Legend. Good luck!”
