An out-of-favour member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is on the verge of a departure from the club.
That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto of Relevo, who points towards Vitor Roque as the player in question.
The name of frontman Roque has taken its place front and centre in the chatter in Catalunya’s capital once more across the day to date.
This comes after numerous reports were forthcoming, in agreement that the 19-year-old is close to bringing his short-lived stint on Barcelona’s books to a close.
As things stand, Portugal looks Roque’s most likely destination, amid advancing negotiations between the Camp Nou brass, and their counterparts at Sporting CP.
The Primeira Liga heavyweights are ready to fork over a base sum of €20 million, alongside a host of bonuses which, all told, would take the deal just beyond Barca’s €30 million asking price.
Crucially, it is also noted that Roque himself has given the green light to the move, having become understandably disillusioned with his situation in Spain.
Moretto concludes that:
‘Deco is working to settle the matter. At the moment, the parties are close.’
