Barcelona starlet Balde provides update on his injury recovery | OneFootball

Barcelona star Alejandro Balde has today provided an insight into his ongoing efforts to secure a return to competitive action.

Defender Balde, for his part, has not taken to the pitch since all the way back in January.

As much comes owing to a hamstring injury suffered during a Copa del Rey meeting with Athletic Club, which saw the 20-year-old hooked midway through the first-half.

Ensuing medical tests revealed the serious nature of Balde’s problem, with the Spanish international forced under the knife as a result.

Recent weeks have of course seen the left-back spot in Xavi’s Barcelona squad come under the spotlight, owing to the concerning performances of the on-loan João Cancelo.

Those of a Blaugrana persuasion, as a result, will no doubt be keen to hear of the latest on Balde’s wellbeing.

During a Q&A for The Residency on Thursday, the subject of as much was put to Barca’s gifted young stopper himself.

And, in his response, Balde appeared as positive as could be, assuring that he will return ‘stronger than ever’ for the 2024/25 campaign:

“My recovery? Very good. Every time I feel much better. Stronger than ever [for next season].”
