Barcelona star to sit out Vissel Kobe clash | OneFootball

A member of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Barcelona will not be available to play his part in Sunday’s friendly fixture against Vissel Kobe.

That’s according to Blaugrana insider Gerard Romero, who points towards Marc Bernal as the player in question.

Youngster Bernal is for his part of course fresh off a challenging last 12 months.

After establishing himself as a starting figure in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona midfield early last season, an untimely ACL injury saw the 18-year-old ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.

Bernal has since managed a return to the grass in training, taking part in elements of group training with his teammates.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the Spaniard is evidently not yet considered ready for competitive action.

As per a report from Jijantes journalist Gerard Romero:

‘For tomorrow, everyone is available except Marc Bernal to play against Vissel Kobe.’
