Barcelona star speaks out on contract renewal talks | OneFootball

Barcelona star Pedri has on Sunday spoken out on his ongoing negotiations with the club regarding a contract renewal.

It has of course been common knowledge for some time now that Pedri and his entourage are locked in talks over the terms of an extension to his terms in Catalunya’s capital.

This comes with the 21-year-old’s current terms due to expire in the summer of 2026.

Pedri has played a starring role for Barcelona over the early months of the new campaign, quickly establishing himself as a favourite on the part of new boss Hansi Flick.

Deco and the Camp Nou board are, in turn, more determined than ever to tie their engine room starlet down for the long-term.

And, if the latest comments on the part of Pedri himself are anything to go by, then discussions towards as much appear to be progressing well.

Speaking during a press conference whilst on international duty with Spain on Sunday, the midfielder explained:

“My renewal with Barça? I’m calm, everything is fine.”
