Barcelona star sends message to Nico over Man City switch | OneFootball

Barcelona star Gavi has taken to social media, to send a message of encouragement to former teammate Nico González.

The name of midfielder Nico has of course dominated the headlines across Europe over the course of recent days.

This comes after the Spaniard sealed a big-money move to the Premier League from Porto, linking up with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Nico, for his part, had enjoyed a stellar first half of the season with Porto, shining on his way to seven goals and five assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.

And one individual who appears to be in no two minds when it comes to the 23-year-old’s ability to produce similar excellence in England, is the aforementioned Gavi.

Gavi and Nico spent time playing alongside one another whilst developing at Barcelona.

Fully aware of the talents boasted by his ex-teammate, the former in turn took to the comments section of Man City’s Nico announcement post on Instagram, to comment:

‘Prove how good you are brother’
