Saudi Arabia could be Barcelona’s saviour this summer, as they aim to significantly improve their financial woes. Following reports that a €100m offer could arrive for Raphinha from the region, Robert Lewandowski – the club’s highest earner – is now also reported to have received a proposal.

As per MD, Lewandowski has been offered a contract worth €100m per season to make the move to the Middle East. It would be the second consecutive summer that Saudi Arabia has come calling for the Polish striker – they were unsuccessful in 2023, but things could be different this time around.

It’s unlikely, though. The report states that Lewandowski is only thinking about staying with Barcelona, where he has a contract until at least 2025 (he has a one-year extension clause as part of that deal).

This is sure to frustrate some of the club’s hierarchy, who are said to be desperate to sell Lewandowski this summer because of his astronomical wages, which they simply cannot afford because of their financial problems. However, there is still for him to consider leaving Barcelona.
