La Liga giants Barcelona have on Saturday been dealt an altogether concerning blow on the personnel front.

This comes owing to developments in the club’s meeting with Celta Vigo.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action, on the La Liga front.

Shifting focus back towards matters on the domestic front after booking their place in the Champions League semi-finals in midweek, the Blaugrana have welcomed Celta Vigo to Catalunya’s capital.

As things stand in a pulsating affair, the two sides find themselves deadlocked, at three goals apiece.

As alluded to above, though, the scoreline represents far from Barca’s only concern on Saturday evening.

In addition, they were forced to watch a key member of Hansi Flick’s attacking ranks, in the form of Robert Lewandowski, limp off with a muscular problem.

Late in proceedings at Montjuïc, frontman Lewandowski pulled up clutching his hamstring, before quickly being hauled off for Gavi.

Just a week out from next weekend’s Copa del Rey final showdown with Real Madrid, the Pole’s status, in turn, has been thrown up in the air.
