Barcelona star in line to make long-awaited comeback against Sevilla | OneFootball

Barcelona star Gavi has been tipped to mark his return to the pitch in the club’s first fixture on the far side of the international break.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Monday provided the latest on the fitness of the 20-year-old.

Gavi has for his part of course been sidelined since all the way back in late-2023, after suffering a ruptured ACL whilst lining out for Spain at international level.

Recent weeks, however, have seen the midfield starlet take significant strides forward in his recovery.

So much so that it is now looking increasingly likely that Gavi will be called up for matchday duties for Barcelona’s next outing.

The Blaugrana are primed to return to action on October 20th, in a La Liga meeting with Sevilla in Catalunya’s capital.

And, as per the aforementioned MD:

‘Gavi is already in the final stretch of his recovery, leaving unbeatable feelings. For this reason, Hansi Flick is already considering calling him up for the first game after the international break.’
