Barcelona star extends lead as Champions League top scorer | OneFootball

A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Wednesday extended his advantage atop the goalscoring charts in this season’s Champions League.

The player in question? Raphinha.

Wide-man Raphinha was for his part in from the off once more this evening, as Barcelona returned to action on the continent.

And, in the first leg of a Champions League quarter-final tie with Borussia Dortmund, the Brazilian wasted little time in making his impact felt.

With 25 minutes on the clock, Pau Cubarsí’s clever flick towards goal was (somewhat selfishly) helped over the goal line by Raphinha, putting Barca in front on the night, and in the tie.

And as alluded to above, in the process, the Blaugrana’s explosive winger took another step towards the top scorer prize in European football’s premiere club competition.

Raphinha has now found the net 12 times in the Champions League this season, twice more than both Serhou Guirassy, and Harry Kane.
