La Liga giants Barcelona are sweating over the wellbeing of star winger Lamine Yamal, ahead of the club’s return to action next weekend.
This comes after the youngster was forced to depart the Spanish national team camp prematurely earlier today.
Lamine, for his part, featured from the off on Saturday night, as Luis de la Fuente’s Spain locked horns with Denmark in a Nations League clash.
En route to an eventual 1-0 triumph for the European champions, however, the 17-year-old was the subject of some altogether rough treatment on the part of the Danish XI.
After being spotted limping post-match in Murcia last night, Lamine, in turn, was sent back to Catalunya’s capital by the Spanish national team doctors.
And, as per ensuing reports, the gifted young attacker can be considered a real doubt to feature in Barcelona’s next outing as a result.
Hansi Flick’s troops will mark their post-international break return to action next weekend, in a La Liga meeting with Sevilla.
And, according to Blaugrana insider Javier Miguel:
‘The doctors of the Federation diagnosed an overload in the left leg of the femoral biceps. More tests will be carried out to confirm the first prognosis. The player will be doubtful for Sevilla if it is an overload.’
