A forgotten member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona could be afforded a rare opportunity to impress this weekend.

That’s according to Blaugrana insider Javier Miguel of Diario AS, who points towards Ansu Fati as the player in question.

Barcelona are primed to return to action on Saturday evening.

A La Liga meeting with bottom of the table Real Valladolid lies in wait for the Catalans, at the Estadio José Zorrilla.

Sandwiched between a pair of Champions League semi-final clashes with Italian champions Inter Milan, heavy rotation is expected on the part of Hansi Flick for the clash.

And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then in with a strong chance of benefitting from such rotation is the aforementioned Ansu Fati.

Wide-man Ansu has been afforded just two starts in all competitions across the season to date, most recently against RCD Mallorca late last month.

With the likes of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal set to be rested from the off against Real Valladolid, the 22-year-old, in turn, looks increasingly likely to be thrown in from the off, alongside the likes of Ferran Torres and Fermín López.
