Following the arrival of Philippe Coutinho, Barcelona have made their second signing of the January transfer window.
Colombian defender Yerry Mina has signed for the LaLiga leaders in a deal worth around €12m, signing a contract until 2023.
Mina moves to Camp Nou from Brazilian club Palmeiras as a replacement for Javier Mascherano.
The Colombia international was originally due to make the move in the summer but the transfer was brought forward as Mascherano struck a deal to move to the Chinese Super League.
Just 23, Mina played for Deportivo Pasto and Santa Fe in Colombia before joining Palmeiras in 2016. That year he made 13 appearances, helping the club to the Série A title.
Since making his Colombia debut in 2016, the defender has won nine caps for his country, scoring three goals.
Mina’s release clause stands at €100m.
