Following the news earlier on Monday that Arthur Melo will be joining Juventus, Barcelona have now confirmed the signing of Miralem Pjanić.
Pjanić heads to Camp Nou in a deal worth €60m plus €5m in variables, and the 30-year-old has signed a contract until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder’s release clause is set at €400m and he will stay at Juventus until the end of the current campaign.
Pjanić joined Juve from Roma in 2016 and has since become a vital cog in helping the club to three Serie A titles and two Coppa Italias.
He can play in a variety of midfield positions and is renowned for his brilliance in dead ball situations.
His move to Barça will see Arthur moving in the opposite direction.
