After tying down Aron Yaakobishvili to a new contract last week, FC Barcelona are set to secure the renewals of two more exciting youth talents from La Masia later today.

Indeed, as reported by Jijantes FC, Barcelona are set to renew the contracts of teenage prospects Jofre Torrents and Brian Farinas today, ensuring their continuity at the club for the near future.

Barcelona delighted with Farinas

Farinas, 19, is one of the most exciting young prospects at La Masia. A part of the Juvenil A setup, the youngster has been key to the treble triumph achieved this season by Juliano Belletti’s team.

At the same time, he has also featured in a handful of games for Barça Atletic in the RFEF Primera Division.

Farinas’ current contract was set to expire at the end of the season and an exit seemed on the horizon.

Barcelona, though, are delighted with him and have been able to reach an agreement over an extension which will be signed later today.

Jofre Torrents to do pre-season with first team

Meanwhile, Torrents is considered a future starter at left-back for the Barcelona first-team setup by those within La Masia.

Like Farinas, Torrents is also a key part of Belletti’s successful team this season and has tasted some exposure at a higher level with Barça Atletic while even training with the senior squad on occasion.

The 18-year-old left-back’s contract stood to expire in 2026 but his renewal was never a doubt. The youngster is already at the club offices to complete the formalities and sign his deal, with the expectation being that he will be a part of the first-team pre-season in the summer.
