According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona will make a third bid for Bayern Munich outcast Robert Lewandowski.
It’s reported that the Polish international has been made aware of the situation and has thanked the relationship between his agent and Barca president Joan Laporta.
The Spanish side’s new bid is reported to be €40m upfront plus add-ons.
Bayern have previously rejected two bids from Barca who submitted sums of €32m plus €5m and then a slightly improved offer of €35m plus €5m.
In recent weeks, Bayern have stated they wouldn’t accept an offer lower than their €50m estimate.
However, this new offer does come incredibly close to that amount when bonuses are included.
In an interview with a Polish media outlet a few weeks back, the 33-year-old said: “I think it’s better for Bayern to invest the money you can get for me than to keep me until the end of the contract. I don’t want to force anything, that’s not the point. It’s about finding the best solution.”
